If you spend a lot of time in front a computer or sat in a car, you probably already know how important it is to look after your mind and body. Or at least, your never-switched-off brain knows that. And your sore back, neck and shoulders know, too. They keep shouting at you to do something about it when you always put your work and pretty much everything else first.
I'm Helen, a Senior III Iyengar yoga teacher with rheumatoid arthritis. Yoga helped keep me mobile despite this debilitating disease. After over 30 years of teaching throughout Europe and teaching busy working women in-person, I've taken my classes online. Now even more women can use yoga as the antidote to the aches and pains of working life.
for not having exercise built into your day. It's not your fault for putting yourself bottom of your priority list.
We've been taught to work harder if you want it badly enough. To get stuck in the hamster wheel of stressed survival mode, thinking 'I best keep going otherwise I'll crash and won't get everything done'.
But that would mean wearing Lycra in front of girls that look like they've stepped straight out of a Victoria's Secret show. You can forget that.
No wonder you'd rather focus on growing your business :-O.
But let's be real:
And when you have family, several jobs and housework to juggle, a few stolen moments of yoga really is brag-worthy.
Yoga School is the only online Iyengar yoga course built specially for busy working women.
It's tailored to mending the neck, back and shoulder pain typical of ladies who work long hours at their laptops. And it builds on what you learn in each lesson so you see yourself improve.
The reality is, if you're serious about taking your business to the next level looking after YOU is the only way to do that.
Because when it comes down to it, you are your business. And there's a limit to how much you can grow it when you get sick and sore from stress and overwhelm.
If you want to learn to tie yourself in knots and remortgage your house to buy all the props some courses ask for, this isn't for you.
Yoga School is for entrepreneurs who don't come from a yoga, gymnastics or ballet background.
It's about learning poses that leave you feeling better in your mind and body rather than making pretzel shapes to impress people on the Internet.
Bring flexibility to the hips and shoulders and reduce stiffness in the neck and shoulders. Strengthen your leg muscles and joints.
Learn to calm the mind by bringing flexibility to the spine and detoxing the body. Increase overall strength and stamina.
Improve concentration, cleanse the organs and stimulate the circulation.

Reduce depression and boost confidence. We'll also focus on make your knee and hip joints more flexible. Finally, we'll help the mind become more focussed and alert with the yoga equivalent of coffee.
Improve lung capacity and digestion. Relieve all those sore areas: stiff back, hips, neck and shoulders.
Improve circulation and release stress and tension in key pain point areas: neck, shoulders and back. You'll also learn poses to help relieve insomnia and sleep problems. Finally, we'll soothe the nervous system and boost the immune system.

Yip, I know. When I was in my 40s I was juggling a full-time job, part-time work in the evenings plus house work and a young child. But are you really telling me you don't have 20 minutes? Are there never times you spend scrolling aimlessly on Facebook? (I know I'm guilty.)
Saying you don't have 20 minutes for some me time is like saying you don't have time to future-proof your business. Because when you work for yourself, you are your business. I'm not saying you have to stop watching TV or quit social media. It's about setting some non-negotiable time into your schedule in the same way you would for client work.
Definitely. Yoga School starts from the beginning and is perfect for people who don't have any or much experience.
Saying you're not flexible enough for yoga is like saying you're too dirty to have a bath.
You are exactly who this course is for. Yoga School is designed to relieve back, neck and shoulder pain linked to hours sat in front of a computer.
What is the quality of the time you spend with your family right now? Are you grumpy mum who always has her eyes on her phone or thoughts on tomorrow's work? Dedicating just a few minutes to yourself on your mat will calm the thoughts and help increase your focus.
That way when you do spend time with your family you are 100% present and leave work at your desk.
Yoga isn't adding something else to your plate. It's giving you the tools and techniques to navigate your overwhelm and reduce your stress. Think of it like navigating with a compass – you wouldn't set off on a journey without one.
Yes, of course. Yoga School is designed for people with no or little prior knowledge of yoga. That means I don't expect you to have equipment. If I ask you to use any props, it will be cushions from your sofa or a belt from your jeans or dressing gown/house coat.
Yes, I'm a Senior III Iyengar yoga teacher, certified by the IY(UK). I have been teaching for 30 years and qualified to train other teachers to teach for 15 years. I'm also a moderator for Iyengar yoga exams. Unlike most other yoga teachers, I'm also a qualified school teacher so I really have been teaching my whole life.
To make sure I keep my teaching sharp, I go to study in India every year at the Iyengar yoga institute. I lost track of my trips after my 40th visit!
Yoga School is 14 lessons, each between 30 and 50 minutes.
No, the lessons are all pre-recorded so the course is self-paced. I will go live in the Facebook group but that is something you can watch again at any time.
You can grab it Yoga School for the early bird price of 67 GBP. This includes lifetime access to all the Yoga School lessons, updates and bonuses.
You can pay by credit or debit card (all international cards accepted) at the checkout.
Yes, the instruction includes information about what each pose is good for and is helping you with. Bear in mind this course is specially designed for female entrepreneurs who tend to have neck, back and shoulder pain from sitting long hours in front of their computer screens. So I've got all those issues covered.
Yes! I noticed that with YouTube and other online courses. That's why I wanted to make sure my online course was like my in-person classes – you want to feel like you're progressing and building on what you learnt each time you roll out your mat.
Yoga School is the online yoga course designed with female entrepreneurs and their issues. Yoga School is also different in that it is designed to help you progress and build on what you've learnt each week – even if you don't come from a sporty background.
If you still like going to the gym or other yoga classes, you can. Yoga School can act as a helpful add-on to improve and guide your home practice.
I go to India each year to study at the Iyengar yoga institute so I wanted to give back in some way. As a vegetarian and life-long animal lover, I was drawn to the charity Wildlife SOS India. They rescue elephants that have been badly treated and save bears from a life where they're chained up and made to dance.
In 2017 I got to visit the sanctuary near Delhi in the north of India for the first time after years of donating. Seeing the transformation in these beautiful creatures is something I'll never forget. 10% of all profits from Yoga School will go straight to Wildlife SOS India to support their wonderful work and help them save and rescue even more bears and elephants from a life of cruelty.
